Reference for merchants and partners using VaultGate on Shopify.

Concepts

Lock — protects a resource (product, collection, page, shop, and more).
Key — a set of conditions a visitor must meet to open the lock (passcode, customer tag, secret link, date schedule, and more).
Theme embed — VaultGate Access must be enabled on the live theme for storefront enforcement.

Storefront scope

VaultGate enforces access on the Online Store channel. It does not secure Buy Button, POS, Checkout, or custom headless storefronts by itself.

Visibility settings

Hide from navigation and hide from lists control discovery in menus, search, and collections. They are separate from the lock overlay on the resource page itself.

Conflicts

Creating or enabling a lock on a resource that already has a lock is blocked. Whole-shop locks that interact with other locks show conflict alerts so you can review overlapping rules.

Billing
